The U.S. Coast Guard rescued four people Saturday after their boat ran adrift.

Coast Guard officials say their command center was notified at 5:45 p.m. of a disabled 42-foot motorboat adrift three miles southwest of Moriches Inlet in 12-foot seas.

At 9:42 p.m., a helicopter crew was able to hoist everyone on board the boat to safety where they were treated by local emergency services.

Officials say no injuries were reported. The boat washed ashore Sunday morning at Democrat Point, Fire Island, intact, with no reports of a pollution risk.
