Couples hoping to enjoy Valentine’s Day weekend will have to deal with icy
conditions and cold temperatures.
Fortunately, New York City residents won’t have to dine outdoors since indoor
dining returned ahead of the weekend.
Those who are looking to eat indoors today may want to do so early as the
National Weather Service has put out a winter weather advisory.
Freezing rain is expected later tonight, which may make travel dangerous.
Some residents came out to Coney Island
despite the weather, but say they are frustrated with the icy conditions.
“Not excited,” Danielle says. “We’re really getting slammed without this snow
and it’s just too cold.”
New Yorkers are urged to take necessary precaution when driving, walking and
biking to avoid accidents.
Those who do go out will have to undergo temperature checks and fill out
tracing contact forms for those at the table.
Restaurants and bars can stay open until 11 p.m. beginning tomorrow.
