Dozens of volunteers from several colleges and universities on Sunday helped clean up Jerome Avenue.

Volunteers from Save the Earth from A to Z came prepared with trash bags and paint ready to beautify the Kingsbridge area.

"If we continually tackle the same area, eventually, at one point, they'll give up. They're going to be like…they keep on painting over my graffiti. So, that's the point," said volunteer Elisa Urena.

The group says their hope after each cleanup is to see less and less graffiti and litter covering the area the next time they are back.
