Construction seems to always be underway in New York City, but there is someone who can help you address any hassle that it could have to your daily life.
A community liaison, who works for the Department of Design and Construction, will let residents know ahead of time when there will be disruption in a construction project - like a line closure.
Liaison Joanna Rojas says she helps people understand the ins and outs of a project, with many liaisons assigned to major ones around the city.
To find your community liaison, you can visit
the DDC's website or contact your community board.
