A Con Edison substation caught on fire after lightning struck a transformer in Astoria, Queens on Thursday.
The power lines came out unscathed.
There has been no impact on service and no reported outages as a result at this time.
The FDNY says four units responded at the time of the incident, which they say happened at around 5 p.m.
