Connecticut commuters discuss NYC mandate that private sector workers be vaccinated

Starting later this month, all private sector employers in New York City will have to require employees to be vaccinated. That means crowds of commuters from Connecticut will be facing new rules at work.
Many people News 12 spoke with at the Stamford Train Station Monday say they believe in vaccinations, but mandates are a touchier subject.
Some people say they see New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio's policy as a big step in the right direction and say the move will make them feel safe at work or going out in New York. Others say the policy will be divisive and they want vaccinations to remain a choice.
"I don't think everybody wants to be told that, not as a grown person, you don't want to be told what to do," said Ricky Watson, of Stamford.
Children between the ages of 5 and 11 will have to prove they are vaccinated if they want to eat inside a restaurant or go to the theater.
This policy goes into effect Dec. 27.
