Connecticut Foodshare officially kicked off its annual Thanksgiving For All campaign today during the 26th annual Bank of America Turkey Tuesday event in Wallingford.

The program aims to provide 40,000 Thanksgiving meals for families across Connecticut.

Bank of America also presented a grant to the organization in recognition of the nonprofit’s year-round work to fight hunger.

Gov. Ned Lamont joined Connecticut Foodshare and Bank of America leaders to highlight the continued need for food assistance statewide.

Organizers say this effort helps raise awareness about the ongoing issues of food insecurity and plays a critical role in helping families access holiday meals, especially as many households continue to face hardships.
