Connecticut native and veteran actor Treat Williams dies after motorcycle accident in Vermont

The Blue Bloods actor was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in New York where he died.

Connecticut native and veteran actor Treat Williams has died in a motorcycle accident in Dorset, Vermont.

Vermont State Police say it happened Monday at around 5 p.m.

Police say the driver of an SUV stopped in the northbound lane of Route 30 to signal left, Williams was then unable to avoid colliding with the SUV and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The Blue Bloods actor was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in New York where he died.

Williams was born in Stamford and grew up in Rowayton.

He was 71 and had over 120 acting credits to his name.
