Unkept promises for a new golf course has residents angered at the prolonged construction.The multi-million dollar golf course was slated to replace a garbage dump at Ferry Point Park. Plans began in 1998 and the course was slated for completion years ago. However, one delay after another has left the construction incomplete and residents demanding answers.The developer was recently fired by the Parks Department, which cited unpractical financial plans. Meanwhile, residents have to look at piles of pulverized cement, tall grass and garbage. The Parks Department says it plans to hire a new developer to finish the project by 2009.
