A man is behind bars today after police say he fatally shot his own cousin.
Police say it happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday inside of 1103 Sheridan Ave.
News 12 is told police found 18-year-old Mohammed Touray in the bedroom of his home with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was rushed to the hospital where he was in critical condition but died hours later.
Police say the victim’s cousin, 21-year-old Omar Turay is now facing charges of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police tell News 12 that it was a case of accidental discharge.
Police believe both boys were handling the gun before it went off.
Police say they recovered the weapon from the scene.
