Cuomo: Army Corps of Engineers recommends 4 sites in NY for temporary hospitals
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says that the Army Corps of Engineers is recommending four initial sites in New York for temporary hospitals.
The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Old Westbury and the Westchester Convention Center were inspected by the Army of Corps of Engineers and state officials.
Cuomo says over a dozen sites were reviewed for temporary hospital use.
Cuomo's office says that upon the governor's determination, the Army Corps of Engineers is expected to begin construction on the temporary hospitals immediately.
