Gov. Andrew Cuomo reports COVID-19 numbers are on the rise across the city.
The Gravesend community is one of the areas in the city that is seeing a spike in cases.
A map from the governor’s office shows that Gravesend is in a yellow zone. It is one of those focus zones across the state that has higher numbers.
The rolling average in New York City is at 3.62%. In both the Bronx and Brooklyn there was an increase in cases from Monday to Wednesday.
The Bronx is at 4.47% and Brooklyn at 3.48%
Around the state the positivity rate is at 4.84%, which means that number has gone up .57% from Monday.
The state is also reporting 61 new COVID-related deaths, including three in Brooklyn.
On Thursday, the governor announced they are expanding the COVID testing capacity, partnering with Prescryptive Health and will include 150 new rapid testing locations.
