Districts throughout the Hudson Valley are making changes to curb the rise in violence among students.
Tonight at 5 p.m., News 12’s Blaise Gomez speaks with three school superintendents about new social-emotional programs, and extra support staff being added to combat violent behavior.
One school district is even banning cellphones. "We are not trying to use the same resources and strategies and approaches that we were using pre-COVID, post-COVID. Our scholars have different needs, and our families have different needs," says Middletown School Superintendent Amy Creeden.
