A Brooklyn father is accused of beating his 16-month-old daughter in Brooklyn, police say.

Shaquan Taylor, 18, was charged with assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child.

Police say he brutally beat his daughter at an apartment during a scheduled visit around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

When the girl's 17-year-old mother came to pick her daughter up, police say Taylor also attacked her. 

The child suffered severe trauma to her head and was rushed to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition.

The mother was taken to Coney Island Hospital with minor injuries.

The child remains in grave condition, according to reports.
