A dangerous intersection for pedestrians got a major makeover in the Bronx.
The Department of Transportation put in a roundabout on Intervale Avenue and Dawson Street hoping it would calm traffic for cars and pedestrians.
A new median and more crosswalks have been installed. Residents said they are happy about the changes.
"Before it was crazy, there's a park right here, people were backing up, now it's better, much safer," said Benjamin Martinez, who lives nearby.
