Tuesday was the fourth day of early voting throughout the city, and New Yorkers from all five boroughs have been lining up to cast their ballots.
Voters on line at Stevenson High School just a week away from Election Day told News 12 that since they have the option to vote early for once, they might as well take advantage and get it done. Social distancing and COVID-19 safety measures were implemented as voters waited in line.
“I'm voting early because I want to make sure my vote gets in and there are no issues with it,” one voter told News 12.
The BOE announced that it has decided to extend early voting hours this weekend.
Friday and Saturday polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
