Young Bronx residents between 14 and 24 years old are nearing the deadline to apply for a city program that provides paid summer internships.
The Department of Youth and Community Development is accepting applications to its Summer Youth Employment Program until April 15.
Internships vary in fields including law, business, culinary and education.
People who have taken part in the program in the past say it helped prepare them for college and has even led to more work during the school year.
Last year, the program matched 54,000 young New Yorkers with paid internships, officials say.
