A massive tree fell and blocked off East 234th Street in Woodlawn due to the powerful winds from the remnants of Debby.
It took down several power lines with it, causing most of the block to lose power.
Con Edison says close to 60 people are still without power, but they expect to resume service by 11 p.m.
Neighbors told News 12 it happened Saturday around noon.
"Pretty traumatized at first, but now I guess we're OK…There's not really anything to do... the powers out," says Eugen Dana, a resident who lives right in front of the damage.
News 12’s Lindsay Tanney was on the scene with more.
