Some Bronx residents are back in their homes after a massive tree collapse in Claremont Village.
The fallen tree kept people living on Teller Avenue, between East 169th and 170th streets, outside for hours Thursday as emergency crews worked to remove it.
Community members are upset, saying the city should have done something about the decaying tree long before it came down. They claim the Parks Department had at one time inspected it, but never followed up.
It's not known exactly what caused the tree to topple over, but no injuries were reported.
