Demonstrations outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Friday called for an emergency action for Black lives.
It comes after 20-year-old Daunte Wright was killed by a police officer in Minnesota this past Sunday and 13-year-old Adam Toledo who was also was shot and killed by police in Chicago on March 29.
Toledo was shot in the chest after police say he had a handgun on him. Video of the encounter was released this week.
The plaza at Barclays has taken center stage time and time again, as thousands have flooded outside for many days last summer--following the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
Barricades covered the plaza Friday.
News 12 reached out to the Barclays Center for a statement and it responded by saying that protests will continue but will move toward the target just across the street.
