According to data, 25% of older New Yorkers remain unvaccinated. As the highly contagious delta variant continues to spread throughout the city, the Department of Aging is taking action hosting several mobile vaccine sites across the city.

A COVID-19 vaccine bus will be at the Marine Park Active Adults Neighborhood Senior Center from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday to get more elders vaccinated. Those over 12 years old will get the Pfizer shot and those over 18 years old will get the Johnson & Johnson.

All you need to bring is an ID and you don't even have to make an appointment.

Now this all comes as Mayor Bill de Blasio announces if you get vaccinated at a city run site, you will receive a $100 incentive when getting your first dose. This in an effort to urge more New Yorkers to get their vaccine. The mayor says money will be issued in pre-paid debit cards as long as you can show proof of New York residence or employment. That incentive starts Friday.

There will be even more mobile vaccination sites scheduled through August.
