Richard Koenigsberg, a Department of Buildings engineer, is losing his job for two years after being partially blamed for a building collapse on Billingsley Terrace.
Mayor Eric Adams and DOB Commissioner Jimmy Oddo signed the agreement Thursday, which also comes with a $10,000 fine for the engineer.
The mayor says investigations are still going and that there's a possibility of more penalties if the findings warrant them.
The building partially collapsed back in December and forced people out of their homes into shelters. Some tenants have moved back in since then.
