The Department of Homeless Services has activated a Code Blue for the seventh night in a row as the bitter cold temperatures linger.

The weather alert is deployed when temperatures are expected to drop below freezing.
From Oct. 1 to May 31, residential property owners are required to provide heat and hot water to residents.
Indoor temperatures must be at least 68 degrees during the day and 62 degrees at night inside your home, regardless of the outdoor temperature.
It is a city requirement, if you are experiencing not heat or hot water in your building, you should contact building management or call 311.
If you see anyone in need of assistance to escape the cold outside, you can report it to 311 and an outreach team will be sent to their location.
