Deputy sheriffs shut down an unlicensed bar in Queens Sunday with hundreds of people inside due to a violation of emergency orders.
A tweet from the New York City sheriff says more than 300 people were discovered at the bar on 35-16 Junction Blvd. at around 2:30 a.m.
In addition to violating the state’s emergency orders, authorities say the bar had no liquor license and health code violations.
The sheriff says a total of five people were charged with various misdemeanors.
