If you're looking for an alternative to New York Fashion Week, you don't even have to leave the borough. 

The first-ever Bronx Fashion Week kicks off this weekend, with 17 designers sending their creations down the runway. Many of them say they've barely slept all week, too busy making final touches for the big event. 

Bronx native Miroslava Rosado can't wait to show off 10 of her own designs. She's only a little over a year into her fashion career. 

Executive Director Flora Montes says to expect hundreds of people, including celebrities, vendors and an art expo, which will show the world that the Bronx is and will stay a fashion hot spot.
