The New York City Department of Buildings has issued a vacate order for a temple and neighboring home on Anthony Avenue destroyed by a fire Wednesday.

According to the FDNY, a space heater was to blame for the fire that killed two people. The FDNY took to X Wednesday night saying the space heater got into contact with combustible materials. The department also emphasized that space heaters need space, and they should be three feet away from blankets and curtains.

The Red Cross says they are helping six people right now with emergency assistance and are urging anyone who was impacted by this fire that needs help to reach out.
