Rapper and hip-hop artist Darryl "DMC" McDaniels hit the stage in Parkchester today to inspire the younger generation.

There were no "hard times" for Bronx students who got the opportunity to watch one of hip-hop’s pioneers perform.

DMC's new book "Darryl’s Dream" is based on his own experiences to help youth make positive decisions and to succeed.

Those life lessons were passed on at the Third Annual Let's Talk About It event, held in partnership with the United Federation of Teachers and Road Recovery For Kids in District 11.

UFT hopes to partner with Road Recovery again next year to host this important and fun learning experience for kids.
