Pediatricians are offering advice to parents that will prepare their children for the upcoming school year.
Doctors at North Central Bronx Hospital say parents should start getting their kids to bed and waking them up 15 minutes earlier to prepare for their school schedules. They also recommend parents should start limiting their kids' summer snacks, such as cookies and ice cream.
The most important advice they give is to get kids into a doctor's office so they can receive their immunizations and vaccines.
There are different vaccines available for children of different ages. Parents should call their family doctor for more information.
