More affordable and supportive housing is coming to the Bronx.
The DOE Fund, a homeless services nonprofit, is working on its 10th Bronx building that's 100% affordable and supportive housing.
The new building will be located at 3188 Webster Ave. in Norwood, and it will feature community spaces and over 100 units, ranging from studios to three bedrooms.
Each supportive housing residence has a program director on site, substance abuse counselors, and various case managers.
"It's beautiful. We not only provide a home, but we provide a community that is supportive and loving and gives hope and a roadmap for how to build up other parts in their life as well," said Jennifer Mitchell, president and CEO of The DOE Fund.
The new building is set to have tenants move in by December.
