A dog that was carried down a busy street and dumped in a public trash can in broad daylight Thursday afternoon has died.
The incident in the Morris Park section of the Bronx was captured on a surveillance camera.
The man seen on the video appears to be carrying a French bull dog before dumping the animal at the corner of Morris Park Avenue and Paulding Avenue.
Dr. Sean Soliman is a veterinarian working right down the street at Bronx County Animal Hospital. He told News 12 that he tried to treat the dog, who he believes was about 10 years old. But it was too late.
Business owners say they didn’t recognize the person on the video, but are hoping somebody turns him in.
