Dog waste stations have been installed in Van Cortlandt Park.
The 16 stations were put in place by the city's Parks Department, according to the Norwood News. They have plastic bags for owners to pick up after their pets, but Friends of Mosholu Parkland President Elizabeth Quaranta says it makes no sense to have the stations without trash bins underneath.
There are garbage cans through the park, and the Parks Department says it made sure there were adequate cans scattered throughout the area.
The Parks Department says garbage cans will be installed along the paths where dog walkers can begin their walks.
