The Department of Transportation is asking for help from New York City artists to create temporary public artwork in the boroughs.
The initiative will feature artwork for up to 11 months on DOT infrastructure, including medians, triangles and sidewalks.
The agency may provide up to $20,000 to selected artists for production of artwork.
The request for proposals is open through June 30. Check below for a list of locations where the artwork will be featured:
- Sidewalk at Grand Concourse and East Fordham Road in the Bronx
- Pedestrian space at Washington Avenue and Empire Boulevard in Brooklyn
- Sidewalk median located at Lenox Avenue and 124th Street in Manhattan
- Diversity Plaza at Roosevelt Avenue and Broadway in Queens
- Corson Avenue and Victory Boulevard in Staten Island
