While dozens of the geese were lifeless, others looked to be just fine.

The cause of the deaths is not immediately clear.

The Township of South Brunswick said the Middlesex County Health Department is involved in the matter.

The health department said they've sent out information to all their local municipalities about how to properly dispose of dead animals and what precautions to take.

Meanwhile, there is an active outbreak of avian flu in the Garden State.

"If they have bird flu...It's a health concern when you see something that catastrophic like that," Robinson said.
