Heavy rain and strong winds were being felt along the Verrazano Bridge as Tropical Storm Isaias bared down on New York City.
The gusts were so strong at one point that News 12's cars were shaking.

Trees were bending in the wind at the rest area along the Belt Parkway in Bay Ridge. Waves have also gotten a lot rougher in the area.
Drivers are urged to take it slow as the roads are soaked and visibility is being strongly impacted.
