Police are looking for two men who they say are responsible for stabbing and beating a 31-year-old man aboard a northbound 6 train in Mott Haven.

They say the attack happened Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. while the train was at the Cypress Avenue station.

Authorities say the men were arguing with the victim when one man stabbed the 31-year-old multiple times in the torso with a knife. The other man punched him in the face.

EMS took the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he is expected to recover.

The duo fled the scene on a northbound 6 train, according to police. One man was last seen wearing a yellow and black jacket and gray pants, while the other was last observed wearing a blue jacket and black pants.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
