Thanksgiving Day is still a few days away, but a grand Thanksgiving dinner was served early in Bed-Stuy on Monday night for 150 kids ages six to 18 whose parents have been impacted by the criminal justice system.
Each child who attended the feast either has one or both of their parents incarcerated or impacted by the criminal justice system in some way, causing them to not have a parent around for the holidays.
The Children of Promise Foundation, Sei Less and Brooklyn native Lola Brook teamed up to give these kids the Thanksgiving celebration they deserve for another year.
