New Yorkers will head out to the polls for the New York City primary race today, as early voting begins Saturday.
Fort Hamilton High School in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn will be one of many polling sites across the boroughs that will allow New Yorkers to cast their ballots in multiple local races.
There is some very important information for early voting that voters should know before they head out to cast their ballot.
The early voting period runs through June 25.
Voters are advised to check what time their polling site opens as they will vary by the day.
New redistricting lines is another reason voters should check before voting.
There will be four City Council primaries in the Bronx and eight in Brooklyn.
According to the Board of Elections, over 86,000 early voters showed up in June of last year and over 76,000 voters showed up to cast their ballot in August.
