Some East End communities are still experiencing flooding after the recent nor'easter.
Some are concerned that high tide continues to leave roads, sidewalks and parking lots underwater.
In Riverhead, areas along the Riverwalk near the Peconic River remained flooded Monday. Water reached ankle-to- shin depth in some locations, covering roads, sidewalks and parking lots and raising concerns among residents about when the water will recede.
"It feels like it's been high tide for the past three days," says Dave Craddock, a resident.
Craddock says it usually stops flooding after the rain stops, but the road hasn't gone back to normal since Friday.
In Flanders, a boat ramp off Point Road was also still flooded Monday and the dock was completely underwater.
"The storm was pretty rough in here yesterday. The whole parking lot was covered in water," says Tom Webber, a Flanders resident.
Southampton Town officials said crews were still working Monday to address storm impacts.
"There is still some standing water here and there, but for the most part, the roads are pretty clear," says Chris Hansen, Assistant Chief Fire Marshal for the Town of Southampton.
Officials are also warning drivers to use caution around flooded areas.
"You don't know what's under the water. It could be a tree branch. That could be a live electrical wire in the water," says Hansen.
