An East Flatbush woman says she has been waiting three months to receive her official NYC trash bin.

She says she has spent hundreds of dollars on the three bins and has been waiting since October for them to arrive.

Now, she's worried that the Department of Sanitation may fine her for not adhering to their new mandate.

"Because they said starting Jan. 2, if you don't have your bins, you will be fined. And I keep calling and they keep telling me it's going to come, and here we are January 2025 and still no bins," said Debra, of East Flatbush.

News 12 spoke with the acting DSNY commissioner and he assured us that his office has been given a list of people who have ordered their bins and those houses will not be issued a summons.
