For the 40th year, a hallway display at the Penn Wartman Houses in East New York is giving Christmas decorations around the city strong competition by transforming into a winter wonderland.
Santa Clause, Charlie Brown and baby Jesus are all proudly displayed at the display.
The lights, signs and angels spread around the hallway all hold a special meaning for Elizabeth Figueroa, the creator of the display.
"This display is dedicated to autism, people with autism, and I want to make them happy by showing them all this," said Figueroa.
A lot of time and effort went into making the display as elaborate as it is.
Each section took Figueroa about two days and sometimes close to 100 hours.
She says the display is a hit among people of all ages.
Even though Figueroa enjoys making the holidays bright in her hallway, she hopes to branch out one day.
She has dreams of designing a window display for Macy's.
Until then, Figueroa plans on doing another stunning hallway display in February for Valentine's Day.
