Edgewater Park remembered the nation’s veterans this Memorial Day weekend with its annual parade.

Dozens marched through the streets of Edgewater Park. The event is organized by the neighborhood's volunteer fire department.

The firefighters say they feel a special connection to the veterans, both sacrificing to protect others.

Dedicated wreaths were placed right next to a memorial plaque at the center of the neighborhood.
