With summer winding down, educators are urging Bronx parents to take an active role in helping their children excel in school.
The National Parent Teacher Association says that point cannot be emphasized enough. Studies show students do well in the classroom when their guardians are involved.
The organization believes parents should join parent teacher associations, attend parent-teacher conferences and lead by example. Educators also want parents to provide healthy, nutritious meals, which act as brain food for children.
