A Bronx school's music program will continue thanks to help from a famous talk show host.

The future of P.S. 48's music program wasn't looking bright after nearly $30,000 worth of musical instruments and equipment were taken from the music room last spring.

The school's music teacher Melissa Salguero says the theft was a major blow to the students, who saved the school's music program once before in 2011 by winning first place in a national contest that awarded them $50,000. The students used that money to buy instruments, many which were stolen last spring.

After hearing of the school's struggles, Shutterfly donated brand new instruments to the program, and Ellen DeGeneres herself signed a $50,000 check from the company, to make sure the music goes on at P.S. 48.

School officials say since the break-in there have been security upgrades so that it doesn't happen again.
