An Elmsford veterinarian will have his licensed revoked after pleading guilty to attempted forgery and two counts of animal cruelty last year.
The Westchester District Attorney's Office says Dr. Javier Diaz, who operated the Main Street Animal Hospital, was arrested last year following an investigation by SPCA Westchester, the Elmsford Police Department and the District Attorney's Office.
The doctor allegedly kicked an old, three-legged German shepherd and then pulled his ear.
Diaz will be placed on probation for five years when he is sentenced next month.
He must also register with the Animal Abuse Registry, pay a $1,000 fine and reimburse SPCA Westchester approximately $1,900.
