Enrollment in New Jersey public schools has dropped from the 2020-2021 school year by 41,000.
The state saw a drastic drop in public schools K to 12th grade.
Just last year, there were over 41,000 fewer students enrolled compared to the 2019-2020 school year, according to the state department of education.
The district with the biggest decline was Toms River, where enrollment dropped by 600.
Montclair was a close second with a decrease of 459 students.
