Courtney Chandel, co-founder of Little Wanderers, helps rescue stray animals off the city’s streets. She says that she works with cats and even knows some people in the area who help feed the strays.

Residents in the area tell News 12 that there are some people in the Gun Hill Houses that are known to be breeding these pit bulls to kill.

Police say an investigation by PSA 8 and the Animal Cruelty Investigation Squad is underway.
