Residents in two Bronx buildings are facing a potential shutoff of their gas and electricity after their landlords failed to pay hefty debts owed to Con Edison.

In Crotona Park, one building owes over $75,000, leaving tenants feeling neglected and unable to contact management for answers. In Mott Haven, another building owes nearly $30,000.

Tenants in both buildings say they rely on their utilities for daily needs and fear the future of their homes is out of their control.

Con Edison says it has set up payment plans with both landlords to prevent immediate disconnection and is working with them to resolve the overdue balances.
