Six people, including three children, were injured Thursday afternoon after an allegedly intoxicated driver jumped a sidewalk and crashed into a community Halloween event outside the 83rd Precinct in Brooklyn, according to police.

The incident happened at around 3:56 p.m. outside of 480 Knickerbocker Ave. in Bushwick, where the police were hosting a community “Trunk or Treat” event for families.

Police identified the driver as 56-year-old Michael Marsh. Investigators say Marsh was behind the wheel of a black sedan when he drove onto the sidewalk, colliding with an ambulance that sent a ripple effect, striking six people.

The victims include two girls, ages 6 and 11, an 8-year-old boy, and three women ages 31, 54 and 74. Police say the victims remain stable in the hospital.

Exclusive video obtained by News 12 shows the chaotic aftermath of the crash. In the footage, emergency crews can be seen responding to the scene, while one victim appears trapped beneath a white EMS vehicle.

Parents who witnessed the incident described moments of panic as people rushed to safety.

“I’m shaking right now. I can’t breathe. I want to go home,” one parent, Caira Lewis, said. “It was horrible because I had to throw my baby behind me. It was a lot going on.”

According to police, Marsh was not wearing a seatbelt and had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit when the crash occurred.

He now faces a slew of charges including vehicular assault in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level above .08, DWI, aggravated DWI, driving while ability impaired, driving on the sidewalk, and driving without a seatbelt.
