Department of Education officials reported on Friday a school in the Bronx will close and go remote due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
Students and staff at Eximius College Preparatory Academy will go fully remote until Dec. 20.
This is the sixth public school closure in the city this school year.
The DOE released a statement on the closure reading in part, "All DOE staff at the school are vaccinated and all students at Eximius College Preparatory Academy have a device to ensure live, continuous learning."
The DOE tells News 12 that 663 classrooms throughout the city are currently quarantining, and the in-school positivity rate is at 0.55%.
