Dozens of strangers are helping a homeless man in Norwalk find warmth, food, and shelter this holiday. You might have seen him before collecting bottles for cash to survive on Connecticut Avenue.

"My name is Paris, like Paris France," he tells News 12. "I'm homeless, just don't have a home.. it's alright."

For the last 5 years, his livelihood is collecting bottles and says he sleeps in a shopping plaza. If you meet Paris, he'll likely share the gratitude he has for the ones that help him out.

"It's alright to have what I have and it comes from people that care... just to give me a bottle," he says.

But this Christmas, a stranger's request on Facebook to get Paris a sleeping bag and basic products, turned into something more.

"It all started with a post from our friend Amy Stackhouse," says Victoria Hinds, who is helping organize donations for Paris.

There's been an outpouring amount of support from the community as to how they can help. This Christmas turned into gift cards, warm food, over $2200 worth of donations and even a place for him to stay.

"Two nights turned into three, and then it tured into 9 warm nights for Paris in a hotel," says Hinds.

It'll be his first warm Christmas since 2015.

"I'm so overwhelmed," says Paris. "You weep because it's real," he says.

Instead of just a few bottles this year, the community is giving Paris miracles he's dreamed of.

"A Christmas miracle to me is love, me being embraced."

The community is accepting donations for Paris on Venmo. Donations can be made to the username @LetsHelpParis.
